Dr Lisa Masters is a Clinical Psychologist, with experience working with patients with complex needs in NHS settings. Dr Masters obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London.
Dr Masters has several years’ experience working with people living with a range of mental health problems; including anxiety disorders and depression. Dr Masters has a particular interest in supporting people to find fulfilling relationships with themselves and others and has worked throughout her career supporting people who find building and maintaining healthy relationships with other people difficult, often as a result of having experienced traumas within important relationships in the past. Dr Masters currently works within the NHS, with individuals who are struggling with their mental health in the context of living with longstanding health problems.
Dr Masters offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and has also undergone further training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Mentalisation Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy; and draws from these models to inform her work.
